Vuelta for Remco & Renson®

Remco Evenepoel (22) wrote history last Sunday when he added the Vuelta a España to his tally. Upon crossing the finish line in Madrid, the promising rider from Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl confirmed his brilliant performance in La Doyenne this spring. Renson is proud to give Remco and his teammates an extra boost.

In history
Remco Evenepoel is the first Belgian to win a Grand Tour since 1978. The last Belgian to do so was Johan De Muynck during the Giro. The Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl rider added lustre to his first Grand Tour victory with a time trial victory in Alicante and a stage win on Alto de Piornal. On the short list of Belgian Vuelta winners, Evenepoel succeeds living legend Freddy Maertens, who won 13 of 19 stages in 1977. The promising young rider from Schepdaal cycled his way into history with his Vuelta victory and is putting Renson on the international map with his performance.

Sports sponsorship
Renson has been a cycling sponsor since 2013. The main aim is to highlight its ‘outdoor living’. The elegant patio covers, which allow a patio to be used all year round, reached consumers with sports sponsorship. In addition to a partnership with the Essevee Zulte Waregem football club, cycling is a very popular sport that is followed nationally and internationally by millions of people along the side of the road and from their homes Moreover, the internationalisation of the Grand Tours - think of the foreign Grand Départs, the Hungarian start of the Giro and the Netherlands start of this Vuelta - ensures an even greater impact and visibility worldwide.

Unique experience
Being present in a Grand Tour in the wake of a top team allows Renson to offer international customers an exclusive experience. They experience unforgettable moments in the VIP car that they still talk about years later. Such experiences create unparalleled customer loyalty.

An extra boost
The placement of the Renson Outdoor logo on the cycling shorts below the back is a deliberate choice. This prominent spot offers the most visibility during time trials or mountain stages. As the ‘aerobullet’ and a climber, Remco Evenepoel is the ideal figurehead.

Yellow dream
Paul Renson (CEO Renson Group): “We joined Patrick Lefevere’s five-year project with the intention of achieving a win in a Grand Tour as a top Belgian team. The fact that we can achieve this in the first year of our contract is fantastic for me. It’s not only a victory for the team but also very important commercially for the partners. After all, you get the most visibility at an international level in the Grand Tours. My next dream is to finish in a yellow jersey on the Champs Elysees.”
